The newly elected BID Board have been working behind the scenes to find the best Marketing Agency to work with town centre businesses to promote Wellingborough and help increase footfall.

After much consideration and many lengthy meetings Wellingborough BID are pleased to announce Creative have been appointed to lead the Marketing campaign.

John Cable, Chairman of the BID Marketing Committee and Managing Director of Brides and Grooms of Wellingborough said

“My fellow Directors and I are delighted to announce the appointment of Creative to help us generate an exciting and vibrant marketing campaign to encourage Borough residents and employees to shop local and re engage with Wellingborough”

The Business Improvement District has been in effect since June and businesses will have received their bills in the last few weeks, the money raised will be spent on a variety of projects, identified by businesses to help improve their trading environment, including marketing, safety and security initiatives and cost reduction partnerships.

The BID has already organised free trade waste collection for all BID levy paying businesses by local social enterprise company, Think3e.

Joanna Chapman, BID Manager says “the BID/Think3e initiative is growing by the week, with more and more businesses taking advantage of the free weekly collection”.

“Work has already commenced on a Christmas competition and support marketing to help generate footfall around all the businesses within the town, with the launch of a Wellingborough Town Centre interactive website planned for January, full details will be communicated to the businesses shortly”.
